Privacy, provenance and governance in data and analytics – an expert panel
There are many factors behind the rise in the number of analytics discussions that include ethics, regulatory and privacy. The now delayed deprecation of third-party cookies focused attention on sourcing datasets for analysis.
Add to that the evergreen issue of accessing quality datasets in a timely manner and we’re quickly to a place where all analytics professionals need a detailed understand of the implications of data provenance, data governance and regulations. Mentioning AI and ML just boosts the need for considerations of bias, ethics and privacy.
What does it all mean for analytics?
Join us at 12 noon on 8th July for an in-depth panel discussion with three experts in regulation, privacy, ethics, bias - Peter Leonard, Joshua Lowcock and Sarla Fernando. In 60 minutes you’ll hear how data pipelines are impacted by legal, ethical, ownership and bias factors - from a simple algorithm to a black box.
