SAS Analytic Activities for IAPA members

1. SAS Predictive Modelling accreditation in Australia.  The SAS Institute is launching its international Data Mining certification in Australia.  The certification exam is based on SAS Enterprise Miner 5.2 and is open to all data miners who use SAS Enterprise Miner software.  SAS is hosting the first Australian accreditation event in Sydney on the 15th of August, during SAS Forum ANZ.  SAS will also be offering Enterprise Miner training in the week of SAS Forum to help candidates prepare for the accreditation exam.

More information on the Predictive Modelling Accreditation can be found here: http://support.sas.com/certify/creds/testdm.html

 2. Following an increasing number of requests for training on JMP software, SAS has launched formal public classes for this excellent data visualisation tool. SAS is offering the following courses:

JMP Software: Statistical Data Exploration
The SDE course is designed as an important first step for those who want to use JMP 7 to manage and analyze data.

JMP Software: ANOVA and Regression
This course teaches how to analyze data with a single continuous response variable using analysis of variance and regression methods in JMP 7. You learn how to perform elementary exploratory data analysis (EDA) and discover natural patterns in data. Important statistical concepts such as confidence intervals are also introduced.

JMP Software: Classic Design of Experiments
This advanced course teaches you how to design and analyze experiments in JMP 7 to find the vital few factors or optimize the process response. The course emphasizes the principles of experimental design while also demonstrating screening designs and response designs.
