Digital Fingerprinting is about using data to identify the signature, or the defining profile, of each member of a population or subpopulation. These signatures are then examined to see what else they are associated with in data such as people’s voting preferences, their purchasing tendencies and their personality dispositions. 

This presentation from Warwick Graco of ATO (And Ex Canberra Chair of IAPA) will describe what digital fingerprinting entails and how it can be performed. It will be illustrated with how it is believed it was used to assist Donald Trump to win the US Presidential elections in 2016.
